Just Eat

 THE BRIEF

To protect what Just Eat is known for: delivering the best of your local favourites.

As Uberoo attempt to steal independent high street restaurants, our goal is clear: show that Just Eat consistently delivers you the very best from local heroes, with a range of choices for every food craving. Over and over again.

THE SOLUTION

Home of the Hotspots | A documentary-style social series that uncovers the local legends defining great food across the UK. Hosted by genuine passionate chefs and restaurant owners, this series celebrates Just Eat as the delivery service that truly knows - and serves - the nation’s favourite spots. It’s more than just food; it’s about creating a sensory experience that brings the heart of local dining right to your door.

THE CONTENT

Our first stop in the series is Northern Soul, a Manchester-based haven for all things grilled cheese. Even tastier than that was hitting 1 million views in the first few days.

To kick off Pride Month in June 2024 the series visited Macclesfield-based Yas Bean, where the owners create vibrant-coloured coffees and scrumptious home-baked goods delivering great vibes and taste and popular with the local queer community.

Just Eat takeaway moments are about so much more than just the eating, and “Home of the Hotspots” is about recognising that and bringing it to life in an engaging social-first way.

The series celebrates the personality and craft behind the scenes of some of the UK’s most loved local food heroes. We’re proud to be kicking off the campaign with some incredible restaurant partners and look forward to shining a light on many more of our independents, one local hero at a time
